Guadalest  Visit beautiful Guadalest and its castle. There is also a museum
of miniatures and spectacular views of the mountains and reservoir, gift
shops and good value quality restaurants and bars.
There is also an interesting, old vehicle museum nearby:
Boat Trips  Enjoy a boat trip between Benidorm and Calpe with a stop off in
Altea. Also available (depending on season) trips to the attractive island of
Tabarca (from Alicante) and Submarine boat trips.
Fuentes del Algar (Algar Waterfalls) a beautiful natural park which receives
many visitors every year.   At the natural park you will find plenty of attendant
controlled parking areas most of which provide shade from the sun.

Terra Mitica  Nearby Benidorm has a well established and successful theme
Terra Mitica.  Kids of all ages will enjoy the Ancient Egypt, Rome,
Greece and Mediteranean themed zones.
Terra Natura  Terra Natura is a natural history park with a strong theme of
conversation.  It has an incredible selection of animals to watch in a natural
environment. There is also a fantastic water park
Agua Natura, which
includes an opportunity to swim with the sharks!                      
Aqualandia  Benidorm's top water park has to be Aqualandia. With a
multitude of exciting water features for all the family to enjoy.       
Mundomar  Alongside Aqualandia is the marine park Mundomar.  With an
impressive display of aquariums plus dolphin and sealion shows.
Benidorm Palace  A spectacular show with a top class meal can always be
expected at the
Benidorm Palace.  The world famous venue has hosted the
Benidorm Song Contest and Miss Spain among other prestigious events. Now
celebrating it's 25th anniversary.

Las Cuevas Canelobre (The Canelobre Caves) are located in the Cabeza
de Oro Mountain range, to 3 km from the town of Busot, in the province of
Alicante. The mouth of the cave is located to 630 metres above sea level; the
caves are 150m in length and 50m in height.
It is believed that they were discovered by the Muslims in about 740 AD.
During the Civil War it was used to store explosives and to repair aircraft
engines, .
Aitana safari  consists of two large drive through areas with an excellent
collection of wild animals to see.  Safety instructions are posted in various
languages at the entrances.  There is also a large children's play area

Rio Safari is located in the city of Elche, in Alicante. Elche is a city famous for

Benidoleig Caves are 300 metres deep with stalagmites, stalactites and
domes of 20m. They date back some 50,000 years and still contain  many
human bone remains. The caverns are located  on the Benidoleig to
Pedreguer road

La Cova del Rull caves are located in  .the little village of Vall d'Ebo.  The
journey there by car gives marvellous views of the valleys and mountains.  The
caves themselves feature spectacular stalagmites and rocks of wonderful
shapes and colours.

metre high headland in Calpe, may be climbed (by the adventerous) for
Penon de Ifach - spectacular sea views or simply admired from the nature
reserve which is located around the bottom of the rock and which makes an
interesting, easy metre  This incredible rock formation which forms a 332 stroll
before or after a meal at one of the fish restaurants alongside it.

Finca La Barbera dels Aragonés - Vlla Joyosa This historic finca houses
the municipal archealogical museum of Villa Joyosa.  An interesting selection
of artifacts from the Iberian and Roman times are on display, and the house
has a number of rooms which contain furniture and day to day objects from the
house as it would have been in earlier centuries.  
Volunteer guides are often on hand to give useful information.

Santa Barbara Castle - Alicante This historic building takes its name from

The natural park of Sierra Gelada covers about 6 hectares, around
Benidorm, Alfaz del Pi and Altea. Protected historical areas throughout the
mountains and the three islets emblematic of the Illot Mitjana, the Illot of
Benidorm and Olla and Galera. Inside the park there are two routes bordering
(one hour or less) and another goes from Playa del Albir up by the cliffs to the
Benirdorm coast (about 4 hours)
